In Japan, they’re known as Ajitsuke Tamago, or simply Ajitama or Nitamago. These eggs are soaked overnight in a tasty sauce made with soy sauce and other sweet ingredients.

While these eggs are commonly enjoyed with ramen, they’re also great as a side dish, a standalone snack, or as part of a bento box.

But don’t limit yourself there! You can get creative and add them to salads or sandwiches. That’s what makes ramen eggs so special — they’re incredibly delicious and versatile.
